Located near the northern suburbs of Chicago (Skokie) the sale engineer working with a long standing, small, highly profitable office to assist outside sales, develop new business, and manage accounts. The sales engineer will have a working knowledge of the companies offering and will be able to make product recommendations based off individual application requirements.

We are looking for a self-motivated Sales Professional that is willing to train quickly and start growing revenues.

In addition, this candidate will have a heavy hand in growing a strong sales team over the next 1-2 years!

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Account Manager contact for factory representatives
  • Recommend products to end users and manufacturers' representatives
  • Create competitive quotes while maintaining company’s profitability
  • Design custom products using existing tools
  • Apply product knowledge to troubleshoot application issues
  • Provide technical support and customer service support to our clients and end users
  • Coordinate among departments and external suppliers to meet project deadlines
  • Work effectively in a high paced environment
  • Communicate daily with established client base

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, Will train the right candidate looking for growth potential within the industry
  • Well-rounded knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi task
  • Time and scope management for multiple projects for each disturbing client
  • Willing to travel up to 3 times a year
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with or can quickly learn engineering drawings
  • Familiar with commercial HVAC systems and their components
  • Sales experience
