This DOAS unit delivers precise ventilation using 100% outside air, designed to meet ASHRAE standards for commercial and institutional buildings. Engineered for efficiency and control, it’s ideal for applications requiring strict humidity regulation, demand-controlled ventilation, or decoupled space conditioning. Airflow capacity ranges from 100 to 2,400 CFM, with cooling up to 55 tons and heating capacities reaching 1,200 MBH.

Standard units offer full conditioning capabilities with optional hot gas reheat and dehumidification modes, making them suitable for variable occupancy zones, healthcare environments, and schools.

DOAS Ventilation and Control Features

DOAS units are purpose-built for 100% outdoor air ventilation, though some models allow for limited recirculation during off-hours via modulating dampers. Optional damper tracking and exhaust fan modulation help maintain building pressure within tight tolerances. The controller can track the damper position or measure the airflow directly to adjust the pressure balance automatically.

Advanced DDC systems integrate fully with building management systems. Units are also available with traditional analog or standalone digital controls.

Microprocessor-based controllers include pre-programmed sequences, factory defaults, and interfaces for easy configuration and status monitoring. Occupancy-based ventilation modes are available via BMS, onboard scheduling, or digital input.

Dedicated Outdoor Air Heating and Cooling Options

Available with a wide range of heating sources, including natural gas, propane, electric, hot water, and steam. Controls can be multistage, SCR, or fully modulating, depending on the application.

For cooling, DOAS units support direct expansion (DX) and chilled water and can include reheat coils for active dehumidification.

Each system is designed to independently manage sensible and latent loads, supplying pre-conditioned air to terminal units or directly into occupied spaces.

Cabinet, Mounting & Airflow Configuration for DOAS Units

Units are available in multiple cabinet configurations: vertical supply/return, horizontal supply/return, and hybrid orientations to suit space and ductwork constraints. Mounting options include rooftop, slab-on-grade, and indoor mechanical room installations. This flexibility simplifies integration into both retrofit and new construction projects.

Filtration and Air Quality Enhancements

Filtration levels range from MERV 8 to MERV 14, with options for metal mesh and bipolar ionization systems where enhanced indoor air quality is critical. Filters are front-loaded and easily accessible for maintenance.
